In-School Field Trips
Description: Virtual Reality activity included! You hear about climate change, but how do the interactions of humans, Earth’s systems, and the Sun really impact climate and climate change? This science program delves into the different types of changes in climate that can be caused by humans and natural processes. Using Virtual Reality, get a new look at some of the ways climate change impacts life on Earth. Investigate weather events and relate them to changes in climate, perhaps even experiencing one without leaving the classroom! Discuss how human behaviour over time changes the climate and how climate changes affect land, plants, humans and other animals in a variety of ways. Like a tornado, this program can whip through your classroom and 2 hours will be up before you know it, leaving behind a wealth of climate knowledge rather than destruction in its wake.
