In-School Field Trips
Description: It’s a bird, it’s a plane…either way it’s flying in the air! How is that even possible? This program investigates the forces that act on living things and objects in flight. BUT WAIT, that’s not all. How do boats float and why can submarines move underwater without sinking? There are also forces at work in the water and this program examines them all. Students will learn about thrust and drag during flight, and will investigate buoyancy and gravity in water during this exciting science program. You won’t have to force anyone to have fun during this field trip!
