In-School Field Trips
Description: This program explores the Time and Place curriculum, focusing on how geography has contributed to the development of civilizations and empires. Join us on this historical quest and learn about the impacts of geographical features on the creation of civilizations around the world, including Egypt, Greece, Rome, China, India, and Arab civilizations. Students will participate in hands-on activities that bring the learning and exploring directly to your classroom. Get ready to compare how locations, oceans, natural disasters and more, impacted the settlement of people around the world. Are you ready to see how new worlds were created? Where would you settle and why? What geographic features would you look for? How do they help or hinder your settlement? Let’s travel back in time to look at how different ancient civilizations used the environment to build up their settlements!
