What Teachers Are Saying

I.D., Grade 3 TeacherLakeland Ridge School

I especially like the activity where students become components of the ear and they fill in vocabulary on a diagram. This teaches the parts of the ear better than I could do on my own! Having 5 stations meant that my kids were in groups of 4 and got GREAT instruction on a variety of outcomes. The booklet has built-in "sponge" activities to allow for groups finishing concepts at different times. The set-up of stations run by the presenter and volunteers frees me up to observe and to take photos. (In-School program)

Grade 3 TeacherGeorge P. Nicholson School

The kids loved making their rain sticks, they were great! I loved that movement was built into the presentation and that the kids learned sign language. It was very engaging. I feel like it's difficult to make online presentations engaging for students who are learning online, but this session was really great! (Video Conference program)

J.C, Grade 3 TeacherRainbow Creek School

I love the way all of the outcomes for the unit are covered or at least touched upon. There are materials that most schools don't have, such as the decibel meter and the clock for the hearing impaired that give the children an opportunity to try them out. The Presenter was energetic and engaging for all. She really understands the topic and got all of us involved! (In-School program)

S.D., Grade 3 TeacherRoberta Bondar School

It was fun, entertaining and interesting! Hit all the curriculum objectives! LOVED the hands on project! (Video Conference program)

Grade 3 TeacherBearspaw School

This presentation was booked as a culminating activity for Hearing and Sound. My students still learned more about the unit and experienced some of the concepts I taught them in a different way. It was a very interactive presentation with a knowledgeable presenter. (In-School program)
